Very Good+ clothbound hardcover in a Very Good dust jacket with rubbing at the edges of the front panel, one short tear/crease, and three two- to three-inch closed tears/creases to the back panel. From the International Center of Photography, NYC, library with the only indications being a bookplate to the ffep stamped "withdrawn", a penciled inventory number above the bookplate, a small abrasion on the back panel where a piece of tape was removed, and a small piece of tape to the front panel. All dust jackets are protected by a clear mylar cover. BOOKS SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING, IN A BOX. A documentary photo-essay on Puerto Rico. Dan Weiner (1919 1959) was an American photojournalist who believed that a photographer has a moral responsibility to illuminate social ills and to comment on significant events in history. Photographed in 1959, this project was one of Weiner's last prior to being killed the same year while on assignment. The bookplate identifies this copy as a gift from the photographer's wife to ICP.
