About the Author
A graduate of Vanderbilt law school, Attorney Jack Thompson was a successful personal injury lawyer when he was first involved in the fight against indecency in the entertainment industry. Despite death threats and public ridicule, he has spent the last seventeen years of his career battling violence and obscenity in media and video games. Thompson filed the compliant to the FCC that resulted in a sizable fine against Howard Stern and motivated Clear Channel Broadcasting to drop the shock jock. Frequently called upon as an expert commentator on indecency in entertainment, he has been interviewed numerous times by such outlets as The Today Show, 60 Minutes, the BBC, Fox, and many others. He serves as a Presbyterian elder in his church and lives in Florida with his wife and son.
