Item description from seller

A very scarce title from Golden Age detective fiction writer, E. C. R. Lorac - a Crime Club publication. First edition. Very scarce. In the publisher's original cloth binding. From Golden-Age crime writer E. C. R. Lorac, the pen name of Edith Caroline Rivett. She published her first detective novel in 1931; this was The Murder on the Burrows, a well-crafted debut which launched her detective Macdonald on a career that was to last for more than a quarter of a century. This instalment sees Chief Inspector Macdonald investigate a murder discovered in a partitioned North London house. In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with a few marks to the boards. Rubbing and bumping, resulting in small lifting to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with offsetting and the odd spot to the endpapers. Very Good.
