About this Item

Eliot's last completed novel, here combined with works from a popular Engl;ish writer. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of a Later Printing of the First Editions, bound together in an omnibus; "Volume VII" of an unknown set. Mottled paper-covered boards with black leather tips and spine; gilt ruling and titling on the spine. Clean text; 274 pages, 145 pages, and 172 pages. Floral endpapers. The spine is rubbed heavily at the head and foot, lightly at the edges; one rear tip is soft; else very little wear. The textblock is clear and bright, with no foxing; perfectly readable today. Mary Hay's novels were initially published in three volumes, a popular format at the time, in 1875. This is the initial version in one volume; her works are scarce. Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
