The dust jacket is near fine with a touch of edgewear along the top edge. Extended introductory essay by David Shepperson, along with related documents including Livingstne's Rovuma despatches of 1862, the logbook of the H.M.S. Orestes, an extract from 'Zambesi Expedition' and a folding map of the Rovuma journeys, at the end. His field notebook for August 23, 1862 to March 19, 1863, "covering the period of his exploration of the Rovuma in boats and his return to the Zambesi regions, by way of the Comoro Islands, in the 'Pioneer' ", and includes all of the notes and sketches. 204 pp., followed by folding map.
