When Wilfred dies suddenly under suspicious circumstances, Inspector James Waghorn of New Scotland Yard steps in to investigate the family and business affairs.As is typical in this long-running mystery series, Waghorn solves the ingenious crime with the brilliant, enigmatic advice of the mastermind Dr. Lancelot Priestley, along with Sergeant King.

The book is in Near Fine condition and appears unread. Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. The pages are lightly toned and clean with no notable issues found. Small, light stain at the top edge of the text block. A very nice copy. The dust jacket has been clipped at the upper-outer flap corners; light soiling and tanning to the covers and spine; tiny tears and bits missing at the top and bottom edges of the covers and spine; there are some larger tears along the top edge that have been repaired with clear tape on the back-side.overall the jacket is in Good condition. (The dust jacket comes with a clear, protective sleeve - not shown.).
