Divided into Two Parts which are Essays: The View from the Nation by Lawson, and The View from the Trenches by Payne. Both essayists are well-known writers and teachers in their fields. The first forty pages, the View From the Nation, have lightly penciled margin checks and brackets. As with most text book markings either the reader tired of the bother early on or simply didn't read the rest of the book.
