Fairly clean tight texts. Old full panelled leather. Spines with raised bands.Some brown stains to edges of endpapers and first and last few leaves. All joints and hinges worn and/or cracked but covers holding well by strings. Lacking the original title label but pale brown panel beneath has stamped title still legible.?Contemporary armorial bookplate of Townley featuring their arms (Argent, on a fesse sable, a cinquefoil or, in chief three mullets of the second) in wreaths of flowers etc but not their name. From the library of Town Head House (Windermere). Books are in good double plus condition with noticeable signs of wear and/or age.
