Doubleday, Doran & Company,1937.First Edition. Hard Cover. No dust jacket. Cover has mild shelfwear and is slightly soiled and bumped on corners. Name written on front fly leaf with black pen. Pages are clean and unmarked and a few dog-earred. Binding is tight. Hinges are perfect. Very nice copy. Written by a General from WW I - he was appalled by the federal spending that lifted America out of the depression and was predicting the demise of the armed forces. Seller Inventory # 5850

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. Some chipping, rubbing and short tears to the dust jacket, and the spine is faded. ; Dust jacket now in a clear protector. Copy previously belonging to author Edward M Coffman, he has inked his name, with a place & date below, at the upper right of the front free end-paper. The date is a bit of a mystery, the place appears to be "Wash", the date is "Nov 8, 1918". His books will normally have the location where he was currently residing below his name and above the current date. I believe we have had at least one book where his location was "Washington DC" ; 321 pages. Seller Inventory # 42030
