A Book which may be Styled, The History of Histories. Succinctly Treated of, in Three Parts. I. Of the Coelestrial Hierarchy in Resulgent Glory; with Patriarchs, Prophets, Evangelists, Apostles, Saints and Martyrs; likewise togtheir Holy Living and Dying. II. The glorious Manner of the Creation; the Antediluvian State of Nature; Noah's Ark; Erection of Babel; King Melchisdek's Reception of Abram; Isaac blessing of Jacob; Moses providentially found by Princess Merisia; his meeting with Aaron and appearing before the Throne of her Royak Father; Joseph and his brethren receiving the patriarchal Benediction; the sudden Immersion of the Egyptian Monarch with his Host in the Red Sea; the Death of Samson; Fall of Goliath and Absalom's Suspension. III. The Revelation of St. John; agreeable to the predictions of Daniel: Not only concerning the mighty Empires of Assyrians, Medes, Persians etc. but the Spiritual Kingdom of Our Redeemer Christ Jesus, even to his tremendous Appearance at the most solemn Tribunal of Judgment. Likewise is added A Chronological Account of Some Eminent Personages, therein depicted, anciently remarkable fot their Learning, Virtue and Piety." Full leather with scuffed corners and joints, front cover is detached along with a folded reproduction of a fronfis showing the window. Banded spine with gilt lettering, no front free end-paper nor half-title-page. Title-page is stained. pages are darkened but otherwise clean. Original pages 65 to 72 are missing and have been replaced with facsimile pages. Pages numbered 177 to 184 plus fold-out follow these, pages of these numbers but different content are present in their rightful places. Pages continue to page 196. The index and table of remarkable Names, Places &c and the List of Subscribers follow this and are followed by a prologue of 24 pages, a single page advertising "The Instructive, Poetical and Entertaining History of the Ancient Militia in Yorkshire" and 3 pages illustrated advertisement for Books ptinted and published by the Author.
