HARDBACK - A very good book bound in the publisher's red cloth boards with black lettering to the spine. There some fading to the spine commensurate to the fading found to the spine of the dust wrapper . Internally there is light toning to the closed top page block, but the inner text is clean with no foxing or finger marks inset. There is a previous contemporary owner inscription present to the front paste down. The neatly price clipped dust wrapper is in very good condition with shallow chipping to the spine tips, with similar shallow chipping to the corners of the front and rear flap folds. There is light fading to the spine, but overall, the dust wrapper presents as a bright, fresh example. This title was published shortly after the end of the second world war to War Economy Standards using a cheaper paper stock. The second book in the Poldark series and genuinely scarce.
