Item description from seller

First American printing from number line and third in the series of popular textile patterns borrowed from the Far East. This volume, illustrating 145 patterns from Japan's Heian and Nara periods, no longer lays perfectly flat while shelfwear has left a shadow of dinge and a slight divots barely discernable at the very top edge. Overall, though, excellent shape. French flaps. See photos.

Store description

These volumes represent the cream of my aunt's voluminous collection, which includes signed first editions from a friend's defunct Lincoln City store, antiquarian tomes a Reed professor bequeathed decades ago, and the art & design section of downtown Portland's long-lamented NorWester Bookshop. Given spatial constraints, I've little choice but to liquidate the inventory she spent a lifetime accumulating, but my dilemma opens opportunities for the right consumer. Shop freely and enjoy in her memory!…
