The back-jacket blurb for these 511 pages promises a woman in love. Maybe its the one Detective Joe Leland gets personally involved with. To someone's detriment. A square-jawed Joe Leland appears on the cover. Given its vintage the volume is clean, square, and bright. Almost crispy. No names nor marks. Minor general wear. Excellent reading copy. QUote (p. 111) : " There were two prowl cars nosed in at the curb on Forster Street, and a crowd stood buffing on the sudewalk. The red flashers on the cars swept the first-floor wundows on both sides of the block. Inside ._._._. . " Size: 12mo.

Terms of sale
We may accept International money orders or personal cheques; please allow 6 days for cheques to clear. Please make cheques payable to Wagon Tongue Books. I can handle your credit card transactions ONLY through the ABE.commerce program. PAYPAL is also a workable option. We under rate the condition of our books, build cardboard shipping sleeves for protected shipping and respond promptly to requests and queries. Shipping and handling on all books is at the expense of the purchaser, and is often in the $12.95 per item range. Book weight and volume purchases will alter these conditions. We will be happy to re-quote books in Canadian dollars for local buyers and to arrange local `hand-offs'of purchases, if you prefer.
Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing less than 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
