70pp., (ii), 8pp., 8pp., 8pp., 80pp. Volume contains 5 title-pages, each corresponding to a section of text (see pagination above and note the 5 sections of the title of this book). The author of part of this book, the Rev. J. A. Mason, was a Catholic Priest at Stourbridge, England, formerly a Methodist preacher. Another author, Frederick Lucas, was a Barrister-at-Law in London. Bound in original dark brown cloth, with gilt lettering on spine that admits to minor fading, but is still easy to read. Exterior admits to inoffensive light to medium wear in places, with light soiling to same. Mild edge wear to pages, including what appears to be minor, unobtrusive cuts to a small number of leaves from the opening process. Paper admits to light to medium foxing and mild tanning, though paper is not brittle. Some light wear and discoloration to paper on verso of printer's blank and first title-page near gutter. Overall, this remains a good, clean, sound copy. VERY SCARCE.
