One of 1260 copies, the second volume in a projected edition of the select novels and tales of George Sand. Blue cloth, fore-edges untrimmed, top edges gilt. Covers faded beneath jacket, endpapers foxed, internally very nice, unopened. Jacket soiled, browned, edges ragged; label of American distributor stuck to spine.
