About this Item
William Wymark Jacobs (1863 1943) was an English author of short fiction and drama. He is best known for his story "The Monkey's Paw". This copy is very good in pictorial tan cloth, stamped in orange, blue and black. Frontis and illustrations. Spine darkened, boards slightly splayed. The endpapers and page edges are slightly tanned but no other marks or damage. The book label of the noted bibliographer and author, Michael Sadleir, is on the front pastedown, and his no longer relevant pencil note ("Jacket in box 2") on the free endsheet. A pesentation note is lad in, but the signature does not appear to be either from the author or Sadleir. Seller Inventory # B584
