Spine extremities with edge wear, discoloration, soft crease. Upper portion of front hinge on Vol. 1 worn. Some corners bumped, turned inward. Modest stickers to lower edge of front pastedown: Parker & Son, Ltd.English & Foreign Booksellers, 97 Broad Street, Oxford. Shadowing from sticker to front end paper. A few marks to endpapers and pastedowns. Foxing to text block edges. Relaxed binding at head. Dustjackets with varying degrees of wear, tanning, tearing, loss of paper. Vol. 1 DJ: fair, with large closed tear across width of spine and along front hinge, about 1 1/4" from top Vol 2 DJ: good minus, with open tear to spine.
