Edward Snow and Michael Winkler live in Houston, Texas. Edward Snow teaches English at Rice University and has translated four volumes of Rilke's poetry. He received the Harold Morton Landon Award for his translation of Rilke's New Poems. Michael Winkler is professor of German at Rice University and has written extensively on modern German poetry and fiction.
