Old ownership marks from O'Donovans to title with a long inscription dated 1921 conveying the book from Richard O'Donovan to Luis Barreiro.Endpapers refreshed. Further ownership marks on first page of advertisement and the first text page. Title chipped and repaired, last page of ads worn, scattered foxing (heavier at start and end), but very clean otherwise. Though styled the Second Edition because of Baretti's debt to Giral Delpino's 1763 work, this is the first of the Baretti and substantially different from earlier works (including a great number of words added from Baretti's friend Samuel Johnson's dictionary). 2 parts in one volume, unpaginated.
