Contemporary calf, gilt spine with raised bands and red label, repaired hinges, red edges. The extra leaves are cancellances named *Piii and *Qiv. Also leaf Mm (pp. 545-546) is marked with an *. Second printing of the first edition of Rousseau?s important - and what is considered the first modern - music dictionary. It was in the same year published in a 4to edition. Seller Inventory # 93962

The second part on the dictionary is bound in nr 16, after the title of the ?Projet?, and the music essays are bound in nr 18, after the title to the second part of the dictionary.
