Bound in the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. This work features nine short stories written by English poet, translator and author, Ted Hughes, who was poet laureate between 1984 and his death in 1998. This particular collection is comprised of short stories written between 1954 and 1993. Of these nine pieces, six are from 'Wodwo', Hughes' 1967 collection of writings. 'The Head' had previously appeared in a magazine, while 'The Deadfall' was published in a series of ghost stories. The final story, 'O'Kelly's Angel' appears in this collection for the first time, with Hughes writing it just after he left university. Bound in the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with a little sunning to the spine.
