"Frederick Bedell [1868-1958] Received An A.B. Degree From Yale University In 1890 And A Ph.D Degree From Cornell In 1892. He Was Appointed Assistant Professor Of Physics At Cornell In 1893, And, In 1904, Professor Of Applied Electricity. His Most Important Contributions In Electrical Engineering Were His Experimental Investigations And Theoretical Studies Delaing With Alternating Currents. In 1917, He Was Appointed As An Advisor In The Establishment At Cornell Of One Of The United States Army Schools Of Military Aeronautics Which Led To His Work In The Investigation Of Airplane Performance And Design. He Also Worked On The Development Of Devices To Aid The Deaf By Utilizing The Phenomenon Of Sound Conduction Through The Bones. For Twenty-Nine Years He Served As Editor Of The Physical Review. After His Retirement, He Did Research At California Institute Of Technology. " His Papers Are At Cornell. Physical Review Commenced Publication In July 1893, Organized By Cornell University Professor Edward Nichols And Helped By The New President Of Cornell, J. Gould Schurman. The Journal Was Managed And Edited At Cornell In Upstate New York From 1893 To 1913 By Nichols, Ernest Merritt, And Frederick Bedell. Shipping terms
Postage, handling and insurance are extra, at estimated cost and processing fee. Shipment at standard rates is for small to standard sized books via media mail within U.S., or via Priority Mail envelope overseas, with tracking. Standard shipping costs are based on books of standard size with shipping weight of 4 pounds or less; if a book order is heavier or oversized, extra shipping costs may be charged. Non-standard and higher-valued international shipments are charged estimated postage and shipping costs, including full insurance for all shipments valued over $200.
