HB 1st Ed. Blue cloth boards, black titles on white box spine. 19 x 13cm. 352 pages. Story germinated from a conversation with Superintendent Ashworth of Bath, who stated that the original village 'bobby' was invariably a good psychologist and was well aware of individual characters in a village and all the 'goings on'. (Bit different now of course!). Condition: Boards age and handling general discolouration. Rubbed on spine + corners. Foxing on e/ps, o/p personal book label & dedication dated Xmas 1934. Outer edge of pages collectively discoloured with age. Internally clean, tight binding, little wear, good colour. Good + condition. Seller Inventory # 002496
