First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Previous owner's name in ink on front paste-down and fly leaf. Full leather, 212 pages. "The original of the following Dissertation, is from the classick pen of Dr. Gregory, professor of medicine at Edinburgh, and author of the Conspectus. It was written for his inaugural Thesis in the year 1774. enlarged and amended by the author in 1776, and republished in 1785. It is from this last edition that the translation is made."
