400 + ads pages 19.5 cm. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards, with stamped, coloured titles and illustration to the upper board and the spine. Light wear to the corner tips. Tiny ding to top edge of lower board. Top edge of the text block is discoloured from dust. Text block is a little rippled, more evident by touch. Both sets of endpapers have offsetting and there are paper remains on the top edge of the lower endpaper. Lower free endpaper has creases. Previous owner's contemporary gift inscription dated 1906. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. The story of a young man in rural Canada who strives to become a doctor.
