This is the story of Maxim, a wirehaired fox terrier who belonged to Julie Haydon, the author and at the time, one of the most beautiful actresses in the U.S. she appeared with Noel Coward in the Scoundrel and starred in "The Glass Menagerie".The lovely illustrations are by Fritz Willis. The small volume has black boards and the binding is tight. The dust jacket exhibits some minor chipping at the edges and is protected by a mylar cover.
