Translated from the German by Ralph Manheim. Originally published in Germany in 1963 as Hundejahre. Fine- in Near Fine Dust Jacket. Possibly Unread. Text block is white, tight, straight and square with no markings of any kind other than an erased pencil mark on half title page. Light rose colored topstain and unmarked brown endpapers. Binding is black full cloth with slight fading to top of spine, and gilt title, etc., to spine, and all corners square and sharp. Dust Jacket is intact with original price intact ($6.95, with single pen line through price) on front flap, with some rubbing to lower front panel and slight edgewear to top. See photos. 570 pages. 6" x 8 5/8". This is the third and final volume in Grass's Danzig Trilogy, the other two volumes of which are The Tin Drum and Cat and Mouse. Grass received the Nobel Prize for literature in 1999. The book weighs 1.7 lb. and may require extra postage, if as packaged it exceeds 2 lb., especially for international transit.
