A large format ORIGINAL VINTAGE DOG Journal'/Magazine measuring 14" x 10". In the original publishers' pictorial paper covers, an illustration of (a Pekingese Dog) centre front. The spine has been covered, quite neatly, with light masking tape, and there are a few edge chips/tears to the covers and in the text, from nearly 100 years of storage! - the masking tape is a NEAR match to the white/cream base colour of the covers, and is printed/illustrated in black. There are b/w photos on the reverse of the front cover of Dog Shows/Exhibits, with Persons, etc. The body of the text is printed on cheaper, more friable, paper that is now uniformly lightly browned. Pagination runs from the last volume - in this case - pp 717 - 796pp. Numerous Adverts Front and Back - illustrated, typographical and plain for Kennels, Dog Medicines, Studs, Various Breeds, etc, etc. The main contents cover Shows; Results; Dog Societies; Letters/Articles; etc, and pictorial Adverts popping up occasionally in the text. Overall a Clean, and Tight copy. An interesting earlyish periodical for dog lovers. At the time of listing I have a NEAR complete run, from this issue November 1926 through to December 1927, please enquire if interested in all of them.
