This was Barbour's typical book about an Eastern Prep School, here it was Yardley Hall which was an eight-book series. This was the second book of the series, with the big baseball game at the end of the book. Is a true First Edition, with (1) on page 314. Also has the frontispiece, which is in color, of a player leaping to make a catch, this is the same image that is on the front cover. Embossed cover with that same illustration, brown background, uniform has YARDLEY across the player's chest. Gold lettering on the front cover and the spine. A tight copy in very good condition. I have around 20 Barbour titles and more than 265 juvenile baseball fiction books in stock. Discounts are available when you purchase multiple items on the same order.
