Item description from seller

SCARCE FIRST EDITION in embossed blue cloth with gilt titling, from Custer historian and author's library with his bookmark affixed to the free front endpaper, frontis., plates, 282pp. Six-Guns #765. Dustin #110. Dowd #361. O'Keefe #880. Very Good+ with one corner bent and a whisper of wear at the extremeties. Freeman explored Yellowstone Park around the turn of the last century and boated down the Yellowstone and Mississippi rivers all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Well-written. Contains material on the aftermath of the Custer battle, lawlessness, Indians. An excellent reference - why it was in John Carroll's library.
