The text is illustrated with black-and-white reproductions of artwork by various artists. Brown coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Quoting the front fold over panel blurb " . A notable feature of Radio Times, Britain's biggest selling weekly, is the high quality of the drawings which illustrate programme announcements, especially for plays. In this book Adi Underwood, art editor of Radio Times from 1950 to 1960, brings together in alphabetical arrangement the work of some 35 illustrators â" including Edward Ardizzone, Susan Einzig, Eric Fraser, Leonard Rosoman and Robert Micklewright â" who have contributed regularly to Radio Times over the years." Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with a little bumping of the book corners. Fading to the top book edges with light tanning and faint foxing of the text block edges. Offset tanning and foxing to the end pages; with, scattered foxing throughout the book. Top inch of the front hinge has cracked and the underlying webbing is visible. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Some rubbing of the dustwrapper panels with some tears to the dustwrapper edges. Sunning to the back strip and to the rear panel.
