Vol. 3 has author's compliment slip signed by author and photograph tipped onto front free endpaper; vols. 4-5 inscribed by author on front free endpaper - all dedicated to Vice-Admiral Sir Geoffrey Barnard. Charts at end of vols. 3-4 checked and all present. Light toning to pages; otherwise all tidy copies in tight binding. Dust jacket of vol. 3 price-clipped, the rest not price-clipped; some wear to edges and spines, heavier on vols. 4-5; vol. 2 dust jacket rather faded; all protected in removable clear film.
