This is a Very good (Plus) copy of the First Edition [with "Announced May, 1936" and "Published July, 1936" on CR page]. Blue cloth bindingwith gilt titling on the spine; front cover is deeply stamped with title and author, along with a gilt drum within gilt ruling. Clean text; xiii, 592 pages;blue topstain and decorative map as endpapoers. Sunfade along the margins has turned about 1/4" from blue to green. The dustjacket is the second state, with the wraparounds painting. It is unclipped; with rubbing and chipping at the margins. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
