Quarto. 40 pp. Text printed within decorative border; black and white illustrations, including frontis of Norman, Twenty-second Chieftain of the Clan Macleod, complete, though facsimile of letter from Sir Walter Scott's Letter to the Lady Macleod loose and laid in. Green cloth elaborately decorated in gilt and tan with beveled edges. Corners bumped and spine ends nudged; scuffing and general wear with a bit of staining. Binding sound. Foxing to interior; soiling and a few chips to edges of leaves; interior else legible throughout. Overall a Very Good copy of Rathbone's poetic ode to the Scottish castle, dedicated "To Lovers of the Scottish Highlands.". Seller Inventory # 30565
