**Bundle Up & Save On Postage** Front panel is quite soiled, front bottom corner is worn and tattered, spine strip has faded from pale blue to tan, is spotted and has faded titles. Last page of text has a bookstore stamp, otherwise without flaw, very clean pages, well bound. 5.25 X 7.5" 274 page, published 1933. Robin Douglas takes the reader on a personally conducted whirlwind tour to over 150 eating establishments in and around London, England during the late 1920s and early 1930s. There are restaurants, night-time coffee stalls - motor-towed, horse drawn, pushed or pulled, and some "Swell Dumps", hotels such as the Ritz, Clarridge's and the Carlton. Throughout there are some menus and recipes. At the end of the book there are 10 pages listing the establishments in alphabetical order with the address, the nationality and the specialty of the house. Then there is a very good 14 page index. Towards the beginning of the book there is a 'Corrigenda' laid-in that lists 3 restaurants that had closed, adding 1 new listing.…

CANADA - Order more than one book at a time from our collection you will save money on shipping costs. * The Canada Post Flat Rate shipping boxes hold up to 11 lbs or 5 Kgs. * It costs the same to ship two (or more) books as it does a single item, so Bundle Up Tracking number and Insurance up to C$100.00 are included. *Books under 500g (1lb) wrapped weight and measuring under 1" thick in wrapper, may be shipped by less expensive Letter Mail. Please inquire.
USA - Postage to the USA is calculated on a packaged weight of 1Kg. or under and includes Canada Post tracking and insurance against loss or damage. Delivery time is approximately 15 days depending largely upon Customs clearing times. * Based on the total packaged weight up to 1Kg. (2.2 lbs) a second book can be shipped free of charge or at a reduced rate. Please Note Books are considered Educational Material and are not subject to the Tariffs. *Priority Post including tracking and insurance, with a guarenteed delivery time of 10 days is available. * If you need more information, please inquire.
