xx+309+(1, author list)+(4, James Nisbet pub.list); outer sides of grey-brown endpapers and pastedowns seem to be surface rubbed, but this is a trivial fault, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked; covers, with blind-stamped borders and good gilt spine title, clean and appear virtually unworn bar slight routine corner bumping, however they have recently been brilliantly conserved and restored and the spine has actually been almost invisibly relaid and the end-gutters internally also bear inoffensive evidence of skilled repair. Famous for its rarity this is considered the earliest English-authored and published work with Psychology in its title (though preceded by a handful of German and French works).
