1st edition. 1st printing of this very controversial novel, this edition was suppressed. A novel about a love affair between two men in the late 1930's, Stephen Spender filed a lawsuit contending that the book is a salicious retelling of parts of his 1951 memoir WORLD WITH WORLD. This book is now only available in a significantly revised version due to this lawsuit. A fine copy in a fine dust wrapper.
