Light rubbing to the extremities and some minor rippling to the backstrip, but quite an attractive binding. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Second edition (originally published in 1861). Quarto. 286pp. Illustrated with fourteen steel engraved portraits. Yellow cloth elaborately decorated in black and gilt. All edges gilt. Boards a trifle soiled, top of the text block a little bumped, some foxing mostly confined to the margins of the engravings, else a near fine copy. Curiously, although all the plates are present, five additional steel engravings of Methodist women are laid in, apparently from "The Ladies' Repository". A handsome volume. Seller Inventory # 424808
