The photographs show the major towns of Kansas in the 1850-1900 period as they were just developing and through the use of progressively newer maps growth and development of state can be seen. The book also has a series of acetate overlays of the newest map of Kansas that can be overlain on the 1891 map to help locate old places on the new map. A clean very presentable copy.
