This is a nice condition, pre-publication copy of "EARLY MAN" with its original dust jacket. 1937; J.B. Lippincott Company; Philadelphia & New York. "Advance Review Copy" (ARC) with the Publisher's labels affixed to the front end paper - "Book for Review - With the Compliments of the Publishers." The book is nicely illustrated with 27 numbered plates and 54 "figures"; illustrated end papers. From the dust jacket: "Thirty-six world famous scientists combine, in this book, to give the reader the latest findings on the origin and life of the ancestors of modern man." Condition: The book is in Near Fine condition - clean both inside and out with only some very light foxing to the end papers, and a tanned outline of a 1952 newspaper clipping that has been left before the half title page. Publisher's "review" sheets have been affixed to the page preceding the half title page. The text pages are clean and appear unread with no notable issues found. The dust jacket is un-clipped with the price intact on the front flap; some very light soiling to the back cover; small tear/piece missing at the bottom edge of the back cover.overall the jacket is in Very Good- condition.
