First edition hardback in the Great Centuries Of Painting series, 1957, rebound into attractive green buckram library binding with no jacket. Ex. Durham University Archaeology Department with several stamps. In overall good-to-very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read; no inscriptions but the occasional underlining in pencil in the text; text and tipped-in illustrations bright and clear throughout (plate to p112 has been repaired).
