144 pages with an engraved frontispiece of the earth in its 4 seasons, this dated 1823 + 7 lozenge shaped woodcuts in the 2nd half of the work, original quarter roan and marbled paper boards, some age toning to some pages and one or two handling spots, but very good really. 16 mo. *Has passages on nature and botany, travel and the microcosm, etc, all in instructional and teacher format. Scarce. 3 copies located on Copac and only 2 copy of this provincial imprint in Derby in the V&A and cambridge. See Osborne Coll p200. Seller Inventory # 8081

Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
