About this Item
An uncommon first edition of this autobiography by Harold Hartley. An important figure of Victorian business and industry, Hartley was also a noted bibliophile and art collector. Contains a preface from The Viscount Corvedale Oliver Baldwin. In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally quite smart with some markings to the boards and slight rubbing to extremities. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout, aside from the usual foxing to the endpapers. Good. Seller Inventory # GEN21-F-8
