Former owner's inscription and US flag to verso of front free endpaper. Two leaves a touch proud along fore-edge. Binding is sound. Title of the main work continues: 'with Tables of Formula, and Rules for Calculating the Declinations, Right Ascensions, Latitudes, Longitudes, Amplitudes, Azimuths, and Distances of the Heavenly Bodies, the Times of Their Rising, Setting, and Culminating; with Various other Particulars interesting to the Students of Geography and Navigation'. The second work [title page dated 1850]: 'Key to the Exercises of Spherical Astronomy; Comprising Full Solutions of all the examples Proposed for the Exercises to the Student Under Each Problem.'.
