First trade edition after a private printing. Book measures approximately 7.25" x 5", with 52 numbered pages. Book is in very good minus condition. Light edgewear, rubbing and soiling. Spine ends and corners lightly bumped, with a few small dents to lower edges. Cornell University professor's name in ink from 1922 on the front pastedown. Interior pages are otherwise clean. "The Elements of Style" by William Strunk Jr. is an American English writing style guide. This book was privately published and intended for use at Cornell University, where Strunk was a professor of English.
