Boston, octavo, lxxvi, 338, [1] p., text illustrations. A VG copy in the original plain paper boards, with original cloth backstrip and much of the original paper title label on the spine. The boards are worn at the extremities, front joint crudely repaired, binding very firm. The text pages are crisp, clean and bright; the pages are untrimmed and have very wide margins. Final page (errata page) with some loss, but not affecting printed portion. No previous ownership markings. Comstock was a prolific author of elementary scientific texts in the first half of the 19th century; this is one of his earliest works, and is very scarce. A useful copy in close to original state.
