This 1959 first edition is in near fine condition, unmarked and bound in brown with a line drawing of Jimmy and his elephant on the front cover. The book is tight with no defects except the age discoloration of the pages.The uncut ($3.00) dust jacket is very good---complete with bright cover illustration, but wear along edges, now in protective cover. This story of a boy, JImmy and his pet elephant, Rex, is full of adventure and has lovely black and white illustrations by Don Sibley.
