Octavo; publisher's blue cloth, upper cover and spine lettered in orange, orange topstain; [6],298pp. Light shelf wear to cloth margins, very slight spine lean, front hinge a bit loose but nowhere close to splitting, else a Very Good, quite attractive and sound copy. The third appearance of armchair detective Lancelot Priestley, preceded only by The Paddington Mystery (1925) and Dr. Priestley's Quest (1926). He eventually appeared in sixty-nine more titles over the course of the next 35 years. Seller Inventory # 29926
