Rebound black cloth hard covers with gilt catalogue number and titles on each spine, and no cover wear. Inside each front cover is a small and discrete hand written library number, but otherwise none of the usual lending library stamps. Edited from the originals with notes and a preface by The Hon. George Agar Ellis. Clean interiors with frontispiece of Philip Ellis in volume I, xxxiii, 383 pages and folded Pedigree of the Family Ellis; volume II has xii, 392 pages. Published in 1829 both 1st edition volumes in contemporary black cloth are in near fine condition. Seller Inventory # 002897
