Top page edges gilt; untrimmed foredege. First Colonial Press Beacon Edition; published 90 years after its landmark debut back in 1816 by John Murray. All illustrative plates are present as are frontipiece tissue guards. Binding and hinges are strong. Endpapers are clean. Gilt page edges starting to rub Paper labels show light chipping. Bookplate on front pastedown. Cloth shows only minor rubbing to cloth. An uncommon desirable, attractive offering of the classic. Seller Inventory # 001630
